As its name suggests, XVID Player has been created to allow you to load and play XviD videos. It can also open and play audio files of various formats, including MP3, WAV and AMR.
Its most obvious characteristic is its simplicity. It comes with a minimalistic interface that provides access only to basic playback controls and some simple settings. There are no intricate options or even secondary windows. Besides the neat interface, I also like that it offers support for creating and managing playlists.
Another nice feature provided by this small tool is the fact that it lets you perform actions using only keyboard shortcuts. You may press the “Space” key to play or pause, the R key to change the screen ratio, and so on. Unfortunately, these keys can’t be customized.
There’s not much to say about such a simple tool. XVID Player is lightweight, resource-friendly and free, representing the perfect solution for those who just want to load and play XviD files without caring about intricate additional options or features.
